About Us

Yumoto Spa is located in the center of Yuda Spa Village. This spa boasts the oldest history in this spa village since 360 years ago in 1658 in the Edo period (1603 to 1868).
Yuda Spa Village is the general term for the spas of Yumoto, Yukawa, Sugo and Yudayakushi. It is located in Iwate Prefectural Nature Park. This is a very beautiful place where you can enjoy the nature in every season centered on Lake Kinshu. JR Hottoyuda Station – a station with a spa that is rare in Japan – is found at the entranceway to that. It is truly a spa village.
Ichijyo is a ryokan (Japanese-style inn) where you can appreciate the wealth of spas from Yumoto Spa in Yuda Spa Village with water that flows directly from the source. In addition, the cuisine at our ryokan is prepared by our young owner who is a former sushi master to the best of his ability with carefully selected ingredients. This cuisine is highly praised by our guests.

Ingredients Carefully Selected by the Owner: Products of the Mountain and Sea

The owner, who is a former sushi master, wholeheartedly prepares our cuisine using plenty of seasonal ingredients. Please savor the seasonal kaiseki ryori (set of various dishes) of Ichijyo with your eyes and tongue.

You can also enjoy nigirizushi (hand-formed sushi with toppings of seafood) by course.

Natural Spa with Plenty of Hot Water

This spa that fills a large bathtub uses only hot water directly from the source of a natural spa. Yumoto Spa, which has plenty of hot water, has a temperature of around 90 degrees at the source. This means you can enjoy a luxurious spa flowing directly from the source.
